The smell alone of apples and cinnamon baking in the oven should make you want to try this recipe. Your house will smell amazing and, bonus, you'll have a healthy breakfast, snack or a yummy dessert to feed your family. This is a quick and easy version of baked apples - seriously only a few ingredients!

Ingredients:

A sweet apple - we've been loving the Sweet Tango apples this year.

They literally taste like apple cider!

Cinnamon

2-3 Tablespoons of water

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Core the apples and place upright in a baking dish. Sprinkle cinnamon over the tops of the apples. Put 2-3 tablespoons of water in the bottom of the dish. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until the apples are soft. Remove and allow to cool slightly. Eat them as is for a yummy snack, or add a dollop of vanilla yogurt to the center for a delicious and healthy and healthy breakfast!

Enjoy! Let me know if you try them and what you like to add to yours!

As always, I remain the dietitian that says yes, apples are good for way more than pie,

Julie
